What just got funded
A private company selling stock must file a Form D within 15 days of the
first sale. It lands in EDGAR whether or not anyone writes it up, which is why these
numbers usually arrive weeks before the headline does. Every row below carries a
Forbes Midas 100 investor as a named person on the filing.

The number is how many single-company vehicles that firm has filed in the
last 90 days. Separate from their main funds, firms set up a one-off vehicle to
put more money into a single company they already own, so a firm opening them repeatedly
is concentrating rather than spreading out. Regular numbered funds are counted separately
and noted after the vehicle count, because a fund family closing is business as usual,
not conviction.
What they are buying is usually not disclosed. A Form D names the
vehicle and never its target. A few names carry something recognisable through to the
filing; most are opaque by design, which is itself worth knowing. The vehicle names sit
under each firm below, so you can read whatever the filing gives up and search the ones
that look like they mean something.
Ranked by stars per day, not stars. A project sitting at 20,000 stars is
already on your timeline and you are late to it. One at 800 adding 200 a day is the
earlier read.

Total star velocity by category, with the number of projects behind it.
A category carried by one project is a story; a category carried by eight is a shift.
